Hi, I’m Da Yoon!
I created Cello Café as a cozy space where we can stay connected through music, creativity, and the cello journey. I wanted a place where you could get to know me beyond the videos, hear my thoughts and experiences as a cellist, and hopefully inspire each other along the way.
One thing I deeply love is seeing people discover their own unique voice through music. Every person brings something different into the world, and I believe the cello becomes most beautiful when it feels like an extension of who you are.
For a long time, I struggled with tension and pain while playing the cello. Over the years, I slowly learned how to relax into the instrument, and now playing feels much more natural and freeing to me. I want other cellists to experience that feeling too: to feel comfortable in their own skin, connected to their sound, and joyful while playing.
I also want to challenge myself to eventually record and share as much cello repertoire as possible, from beginner pieces all the way to advanced works. Whether you’re just starting or have been playing for years, I hope these videos can become a practice companion you can return to anytime.
Along the way, I’ll share:
practice thoughts and ideas
behind-the-scenes experiences as a cellist
what I’m currently working on
musical inspiration
entertaining and cinematic music projects
reflections about creativity, growth, and even life itself
I want practicing to feel less like pressure and more like an adventure or a game you actually look forward to.
Most of all, I hope Cello Café becomes a warm little corner of the internet where you feel encouraged, inspired, and understood.
So grab your favorite drink, stay awhile, and let’s continue this musical journey together. ☕
